What we stand for:

We at PHAID identified that there was a need to take a new approach to helping the victims in regions afflicted by either natural disasters or conflict. 

We realized that the individuals in these crises prone areas could be pre-emptively medically trained and thus empowered to tackle any illness or injury that they or others may suffer. 

And so the PHAID (PreHospital Aid) initiative was born. We are a group of healthcare professionals who have either had personal or professional experience of living and or working in regions that have been affected by disasters or conflicts.

We have drawn upon our professional expertise to develop a strategy for how to best train and equip the individuals affected by these crises.

PHAID's Goal: the hope is that by implementing these skills, the victims can:-

• reduce the burden of injury or illness initially suffered

• subsequently recover quicker

• survive a crisis with the best outcome possible

• rebuild a better future
